Take me on a walk

take me on a walk

hold my hand tight,

letting the warmth of your blood

heat my everlastingly frozen fingers.

we’ll walk up a quiet mountain

on the cold morning

of a hot day.

we’ll step on white crunchy grass,

watching tiny clouds escape my mouth

as you make me laugh.

we’ll go up to where we can see the sea,

taking in the iodised air,

and staring at the blue vastness in front of us.

we’ll imagine islands far far away

where someone is making a home,

or having a baby,

or just giggling with the birds.

we’ll dream away our life together,

like nothing is happening below that hill,

like life isn’t calling upon us,

like work isn’t a thing.

the sun will rise,

but we won’t walk back just yet.

we’ll sit on the yellowed grass

being slowly warmed by the sun.

you’ll have brought a blanket -

maybe the fuzzy pink one

you thrifted last week end.

and i’ll sit between your legs,

and you’ll lean back on a rock,

and we’ll watch the world wake up together.

can we linger in this haze forever?

and when you’re gone -

because you found someone more interesting,

because i was hard to love,

because it simply wasn’t meant to be -

and i’m walking outside,

and my breath becomes fog,

i’ll go back to that moment.

because on that hill,

on the cold morning of that warm day,

it’ll always be

just us two.

maybe i can help :)

I am no life expert. In fact life throws me a lot of lemons. But I'm pretty good at making lemonade, being resilient and (I've been told) giving advice. So, if you need an outsider's perspective, I'm here! On love & relationships, on family issues, on work, on anything really. I'll give you my take and maybe (hopefully) it'll help. 100% anonymous of course.

Thank you for reaching out! I will get back to you as soon as possible.
