crossed words
we used to do the new york times crossword together.
bits of his culture filled in gaps in my own.
for a while after, grids stayed unfinished.
i like to hope he struggled to complete his too.
today I got to the end by myself.
no cheating, no crying, no help.
is that moving on?

I am no life expert. In fact life throws me a lot of lemons. But I'm pretty good at making lemonade, being resilient and (I've been told) giving advice.
